Privacy for LinkTrace users and workspaces
A practical summary of the account, analytics, and operational data needed to run LinkTrace.
Last updated: April 3, 2026

1. Information we collect

We collect the information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, workspace details, billing information, and support requests.

We also process operational data needed to run the product, such as link destinations, metadata, UTM settings, click events, and basic device or referrer information tied to analytics reports.

2. How we use information

We use information to authenticate users, operate workspaces, deliver analytics, process payments, prevent abuse, and improve the service.

We may also use aggregate or de-identified usage patterns to understand product quality and prioritize improvements.

3. Cookies and sessions

LinkTrace uses cookies or similar session mechanisms to keep you signed in, maintain workspace context, and protect authenticated flows.

If you disable required session storage, some parts of the product may stop functioning correctly.

4. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share data with infrastructure, analytics, payment, and support vendors only as needed to operate the service.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect users and the service from fraud or abuse.

5. Retention

We retain account and workspace data for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data, billing obligations, and security needs.

6. Security

We use administrative, technical, and operational safeguards intended to protect customer data, but no internet-based system can be guaranteed perfectly secure.

Users are responsible for maintaining password security and controlling access to their own workspaces.

7. Your choices

You can update core account information from within the product or by contacting support when self-service controls are unavailable.

You may also request account closure or data export where supported by your plan and applicable law.

8. Contact

Privacy questions can be sent to support@linktrace.cc.
